Reef Rd Surf Session

Hurricane Earl brought a decent swell to the east coast this past week. My friend Keith convinced me to wake up extremely early and head out. After being disappointed by the local break at Spanish River, we headed up coast to Reef Rd. The break is just north of The Breakers Hotel in West Palm Beach. The surf was pretty clean with some chest high sets. One thing that sucks about shooting surf early in the morning on the east coast is the the glare that you'll get off the water. I try to shoot at an angle away from the sun, but sometimes the surfer will take the wave back to the sun. I usually keep the photos in color, but this time processed them in black and white. Till the next hurricane.....
